Women who work out together stick with it longer. At least that seems to be the trend, especially with the latest group of women who now work with Rupp Fitness. Six friends are currently tackling the challenge of becoming more fit, and shedding more pounds, side by side.

Once they had decided on this united approach, they stepped it up a notch by agreeing to engage a personal trainer. Then they called Paul Rupp. Paul is both a certified personal trainer and a certified strength & conditioning specialist. He has been designing effective programs for women and men (and girls and boys) for the past two decades.

Now Paul is guiding this latest group through warm-ups, strength training, and post-workout stretching within an hour-long session. It’s all done in the cozy comfort of one participant’s living room.

There’s enough floor space for everyone, and not much else is needed, except energy and enthusiasm. Many exercises are done using their own body weight -- such as planks and bridges for core strengthening. An exercise ball and light dumbbells round out the gear.

According to Paul, he conducts a medium-to-high intensity workout “It’s enough of a challenge that there might be a little muscle soreness the next day, but there should never be any pain,” he says. “The women are beginning to see results, both in added tone and fewer pounds.”

Contact Paul about scheduling a training session in your home -- for yourself or for a group of your closest workout buddies.

Most of the time, Paul Rupp conducts his training in gyms or living rooms, but he can meet you wherever it’s most convenient. For one client, it’s in the garage bay of his auto service business. Yes , if you drop by Marty’s Ex-Exon on Baltimore Pike in Media, Pa., you just might find Marty working on his core, while his mechanic works on your car. Marty and Paul have been working out together for a number of years, even in real-live gyms. But schedules and circumstances make this the best option for now. If you need some flexibility in your workouts, call Paul to learn more.

In the 63 days between that first bite of Halloween candy and the last sugary treat on New Year’s Day, most people put on more pounds and inches than any other time of year.

The good news is: Help is just a phone call away. Paul Rupp, an experienced and successful fitness trainer, has started his own independent fitness consulting business, working with individuals of all ages, sizes, shapes and abilities.

Rupp’s unique approach features fitness programs you can do in the comfort of your own home, with whatever you have available. “You don’t need exercise equipment to get a good workout,” he says. “If you have the determination, I can supply the motivation—and any number of cardiovascular, strengthening and toning exercises using your own body weight or common household items.”

To making working out more fun, Rupp offers the option of one-on-one or group sessions, with up to four friends training together. For all his clients—whether they work out at home or at a gym—Rupp begins with an initial fitness evaluation and then designs an individually tailored exercise program. Clients can arrange for ongoing training sessions on a pay-as-you-go or pre-paid package basis.

Rupp draws on his 20 years of professional experience in outpatient rehabilitation, sports specific training, fitness training, and post-physical therapy strengthening to help others achieve their health and fitness goals. His experience includes strength and conditioning for the Philadelphia 76ers, Hawk Hill Olympic Developmental Swim Club, Cardinal O'Hara Girls Basketball, Malvern Prep Ice Hockey Team, the Media Mustangs semi-pro football team and many individual athletes, from amateur to professional. He earned his professional credentials from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). He also has a B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University.

In addition to personal training, Rupp specializes in sports-specific training, post-outpatient rehabilitation fitness programs, wellness programs for seniors and company pre-employment work capacity testing.

To make your New Year’s fitness resolution a reality, call Rupp at (610) 717-2475 or email paul@ruppfitness.com.
